To further meet the need of promoting Chinese culture, the Renmin University of China will set up the first Sinology college among domestic universities, and student enrollment will begin in the coming September. The Sinology college will be directly engaged in the teaching and research work, said Ji Baocheng, president of the university, on May 29, adding that a research institute will be set up simultaneously. Feng Qiyong, a renowned scholar on the studies of "A Dream of Red Mansions", one of the Four Famous Chinese Classics, has been invited to be principal of the new collage. The collage puts undergraduate and postgraduate courses together into a six-year period of study, and graduates can obtain directly a master degree in related subjects.　　5月31日，山东省一项“新型激光显示系统”科技结果在济南通过由山东省教导厅组织的专家鉴定，由中科院院士姚建铨加入的鉴定委员会以为，这一项目在激光显示色彩治理方面达到国际进步水平，在整形匀光消失斑及色域笼罩率方面到达国际当先程度。　　这一科研名目由山东大学信息迷信与工程学院和山东华索数码电子有限公司独特承当，项目组历时3年，胜利研制了山东省首台激光显示器，并申请国度发现和适用新型专利16项。项目鉴定进程中，与会专家实地观看并观赏了首台“激光投影电视”更加清楚的显示后果。　　鉴定委员会由中国科学院姚建铨院士担负主任委员，由中国电子技术尺度化研究所、北京理工大学、南京理工大学、海信团体、山东省电子产品德量检测院和山东省播送电视科学研讨所7位相干专家组成。　　据项目组先容，激光显示体系与现有LED、LCD、CRT等显示器比拟，应用激光作为背光源，充足应用激光波长可抉择性和高光谱亮度的特色，使显示图像存在更大的颜色表示空间，色饱和度跟色纯度比拟高，彻底冲破现有显示技巧反应人眼所见色彩范畴先天不足的缺点，具备更完善的色彩还原才能。在公共信息大屏幕、激光电视、数码影院等范畴，激光全色显示技术拥有很大的发展空间和辽阔的市场利用远景。
